Curl Announces Support for Ubuntu for Enterprise RIA Platform
Meeting Industry Demand, Curl Increases Availability to Linux Users

Curl announced it has released the availability of an Ubuntu
Installer for the Curl Rich Internet Application (RIA) platform. Curl is a Rich
Internet Application platform that competes with Adobe AIR/Flex, Silverlight,
and Ajax. Curl
has been shipping with Linux support for RedHat 9, SusE 9, and Turbolinux 10
and 11. Ubuntu is the latest Linux platform Curl 6.0 supports. Curl 6.0 also
supports Microsoft Windows (XP, and Vista) as
well as a beta version for Mac OS X (PowerPC and Intel).
This new offering from Curl allows developers to create and
deploy new class of interactive applications on computers and devices running
the Ubuntu Linux operating system. As a result, the increasing number of Linux
developers can take advantage of Curl’s proven enterprise-class RIA platform.
With the rising popularity of Ubuntu, Curl realized the
importance of addressing the needs of this growing community, and further
enable cross-platform application development with the company’s proven RIA
technology. The Ubuntu availability of the Curl RIA platform is a direct
response to recent user feedback calling for enhanced Linux support.
