Littlewood brings a wealth of enterprise sales and business development experience to Kaazing, having previously held executive sales and business development positions at both Microsoft Corporation and Sun Microsystems.
"I'm thrilled to join Kaazing. The company is poised to revolutionize how real-time Rich Internet Applications are built and deployed on the Web," said Littlewood. "Many modern business applications demand reliable real-time communications with near-zero latency. Until now, this has been cumbersome to achieve. But the Kaazing Enterprise Gateway transforms any web browser into a first-class citizen of enterprise-grade real-time applications. This paves the way for a new generation of applications within financial institutions, online exchanges and auctions, spread betting, online gaming, live events coverage, real-time collaboration and social networking.
Littlewood will report directly to Jonas Jacobi, Kaazing's President and Chief Executive Officer.
"David's deep insight, proven leadership abilities and extensive industry relationships are an ideal addition to the Kaazing team. His experience with financial service organizations will be particularly important to us as that industry seeks ways to leverage the web for new real-time applications they can depend on," said Jacobi. "David will also be instrumental in assessing business needs in the ongoing development of our patent portfolio, which includes recent fillings of three new applications covering the significant technical advances Kaazing is widely recognized for in the industry and that uniquely differentiate our products from other approaches."
