Certeon announced that its aCelera Virtual Appliance software for application acceleration will be shipping with support for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V in its upcoming November 2008 release. This announcement is a continuation of a commitment Certeon made when it launched aCelera to end the era of proprietary application acceleration appliances.

Certeon's aCelera Virtual Appliance software delivers a greater than 95 percent reduction in application response time for applications being accessed across the wide area network (WAN), with the added benefit of eliminating the hardware footprint and high cost of separately managed single-purpose hardware appliances. Certeon's aCelera software resides inside virtualized data centers and branch offices resulting in increased manageability, scalability, user productivity, and lower total cost of ownership. With this announcement, Certeon is adding Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V to its supported virtualization environments.
