Colosa, a developer of business process management (BPM) software that enables small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to simplify workflow through the automation of paper-based processes, has announced that its flagship solution, ProcessMaker, is one of the first applications to achieve certification through the Intel Certified Solutions Program and will be available on the Intel Business Exchange. The Intel Business Exchange is an online marketplace for small and medium businesses to search for and buy software specifically geared towards their special needs.
The Intel Certified Solutions Program certification service is provided by SpikeSource, a leader in software assembly, testing, packaging and updating. The automated testing and validation process reduces development and support costs for software vendors, and provides end users with a greatly enhanced experience by ensuring secure, high quality software that is optimized for Intel Architecture.
Colosa's ProcessMaker is an open source BPM solution that SMEs use to simplify workflow and business processes. Users pay for support and services, and do not have to pay for licenses or upfront sign up fees. ProcessMaker is affordable and high-quality, and allows SMEs to better compete with larger organizations.
"To be one of the first participants in Intel's program is testimony to our commitment to the Intel platform and the SME market," said Brian Reale, CEO of Colosa. "Intel is simplifying the software decision-making and buying process for SMEs, which is in line with our goals. Our team has worked hard to deliver a product to achieve this certification."
"Small- and medium-sized businesses depend on Intel technology to stay competitive," says J. Scott Harrison, Director Partner Programs Organization for Intel. "For those businesses, the Intel brand is a symbol of assured quality. When they see the Intel Certified logo, they know that it's a solution that they can trust."
