Virtualization Solutions Company Trigence Appoints New President and CEO

Greg O'Connor Appointed President and CEO of Trigence

Trigence announced the appointment of Greg O'Connor as President and Chief Executive Officer.

O'Connor, a software industry veteran, brings over 20 years of industry knowledge and technology vision to Trigence.

"We are very pleased to have attracted someone of Greg O'Connor's caliber to Trigence. Greg is a seasoned software executive whose combined sales and technical background, leadership skills and customer focus will enable Trigence to capitalize on the company's growing market opportunity," said Ron Warburton, Chairman of the Board of Trigence. "Greg not only brings highly relevant sector experience to Trigence, but also a passion for the technology and its value to Trigence customers."

O'Connor joins Trigence from Progress Software, where he was President and Founder of Sonic Software. Greg grew the company from concept to 350 people. Under Greg’s leadership, revenue grew to over $40 million. As President, Greg was the executive in charge of all business functions, including marketing, sales, product development, client support and services.

O'Connor joined Progress Software Corporation in 1992. O'Connor oversaw the development, strategy and marketing of Progress WebSpeed, an HTML-based development tool and transaction server first introduced in 1996. Additionally, O'Connor was responsible for the introduction of Progress Apptivity, a Java application server and integrated development environment for developing and deploying Web-based business applications.

O'Connor led the development of SonicMQ and the founding of Sonic Software as an independent operating company dedicated to helping organizations dynamically share information across global business environments and accelerate deployment of flexible, cost-effective integration across the extended enterprise.
