NEC Partners With SYNNEX to Extend and Strengthen Virtualization Channel Reach

New Partnership Provides Value to VARs by Increasing the Depth and Strength of the Enterprise Offering

NEC announced a partnership with SYNNEX. The partnership underscores NEC’s commitment to expanding the delivery of dynamic IT infrastructure solutions in North America. NEC’s extensive portfolio of IT products and international recognition for quality give SYNNEX VARs across North America the ability to partner with a single brand to meet a wide variety of customers’ data center needs.

"This is an important relationship to SYNNEX because NEC is a true innovator in the industry with dynamic, scalable, highly reliable and cost-effective IT products," said Bob Stegner, senior vice president of marketing for North America, SYNNEX Corporation. "Through this agreement, we strengthen our portfolio to offer our VAR partners smart IT solutions that provide a competitive edge in today's challenging marketplace."

“One of our main goals is to extend the availability of our dynamic data center solutions to more resellers, and invest in the quality of those relationships. SYNNEX’ sales expertise and penetration in the U.S. market make it the ideal distribution partner to achieve this goal,” said Dave Davenport, senior vice president, IT Platform and Solutions, NEC Corporation of America. "Movement to an indirect sales model will allow us to devote more resources toward providing smart IT choices to the enterprise. This agreement is a key milestone in the continued growth of our channel sales.”

The SYNNEX partnership is an important alliance for NEC as the company continues to focus its efforts on enabling IT to make smart choices for the enterprise. The strategic distribution agreement between the two companies will leverage NEC’s existing IT platform offerings, including NEC’s comprehensive Express5800 and Series3800 family of highly scalable and reliable servers; NEC D-Series modular, scalable storage arrays and storage software; and NEC ExpressCluster integrated application and data high availability and disaster recovery software. The availability of NEC’s IT platform products through SYNNEX’ distribution portfolio represents a significant expansion of NEC’s channel and extended reach in the North American market.

“With this new partnership, NEC and SYNNEX are positioned for growth and market expansion that will support VARs in growing their businesses,” added Steve DeBonis, channel director, IT Platform Group, NEC Corporation of America.

Today’s IT environment is dynamic – requiring infrastructure products that can scale non-disruptively and enable service excellence to keep pace with changing business requirements. With NEC, SYNNEX can offer a single vendor that gives IT teams a range of choices to meet the needs of a growing, evolving data center.

NEC’s dynamic infrastructure features a range of products and solutions that can be scaled to meet each customer’s need:

  • NEC Express5800/1000 Series High-end Enterprise Servers
  • NEC Express5800/300, Express5800/100 and Series3800 Series Servers
  • NEC D-Series Enterprise Modular Storage Arrays
