DS Data Systems UK is pleased to announce the release of
KonaKart v2.2.4.0, a free java based online shopping cart application that
provides what store owners need to sell their products over the internet.
KonaKart includes an extensive set of online shopping cart features to satisfy
the needs of both online shoppers and store owners alike.
KonaKart is a Java / JSP / XML based solution with easy to use java APIs and a
SOAP Web Service interface for the ultimate in connectivity.
Visit our web site http://www.konakart.com
for live demos and free downloads.
The most significant new features of the 2.2.4.0 release are the addition of
customer groups, multiple prices and call center functionality.
Customers can now be ordered into groups such as retail customers, wholesale
customers, students etc. The group information can be used to select the
product price, to activate a promotion and to send emails.
Each product and product option can have multiple prices. For example, these
could be the retail price, the wholesale price and the MRP. The price displayed
to any one customer depends on which group the customer belongs to.
The Admin App now includes functionality to select a customer and open up a new
browser window displaying the KonaKart eCommerce application, automatically
logging in the selected customer. This is a useful feature for call center
users who may need to accept telephone orders. It allows them to log in on behalf
of a customer without requiring the customer's credentials and to perform any
transaction that the customer could normally perform using the eCommerce
application.
