With over 15 years of work on improving the user experience through the user interface, Olivier Poupeney contends that a new mode of information visualization known as a Mashup combined with the collaborative aspects of Web 2.0 is finding success where Composite Applications struggled. He will be giving a session later next week at AJAXWorld 2008 East
"The Web is continuously democratizing how information is consumed," observes Poupenay. "Today, personal Web use has led to a rapid increase in user sophistication which is naturally reaching the Enterprise."
Composite Applications struggled due to issues of cost, speed of development and interactivity, Poupenay says. "By moving the integration point from the service layer to the presentation layer, driven by the user themselves and controlled by secured processes, Mashups are gaining an Enterprise facet promoting them to be the new generation of Composite Applications," he says.
Poupeney is co-founder and CEO of DreamFace Interactive. DreamFace. From 2000 to 2006, he was the co-founder and VP R&D of Ecensity Corporation, where he led all aspects of research and development in the development of their state of the art Composite Application Framework EPS.
His session is just of the 90+ sessions, presentations, discussion panels, and keynotes that together make up the 3-day conference program of this month's 5th International AJAXWorld.
The March event features six content-rich tracks:
- Enterprise RIAs
- Rich-Web Tools & Case Studies
