videoNEXT announced the release of (version 2.5) to its
Security Knowledge Manager (SKM). The new enhancements of this scalable IP
surveillance and security solution focus on advancements in its Access Control
Integration Framework and Command and Control capabilities.
"Version 2.5 represents a gigantic step forward in our product's
capability to collect, manage and disseminate physical security
information," said David Marra, videoNEXT's chief technology officer.
"The new features in SKM version 2.5 provide users with an innovative AJAX-based
web user interface that effectively turns a browser into an advanced command
and control application -- complete with real time sensor and alarm
notification, advanced geo-coordinated 2D and 3D mapping and metadata
annunciation. videoNEXT will continue to set the innovation pace in this market
by applying advanced web and information technologies to physical security
information management."
videoNEXT's SKM software is the management platform behind today's IP-based
surveillance and security management systems, providing a simple, seamless
interface to view and manage all video and sensors from anywhere on a network
or the Internet. Proactively securing facilities, SKM is an open,
standards-based software solution that integrates video surveillance, access
control and other sensors leveraging an organization's IT infrastructure.
The new features in version 2.5 of this web-based surveillance and security
tool include:
