IBM Showcases System Storage Solutions

IBM and Virtualization

IBM showed its DS3000 and DS4000 hard drive storage systems that achieve the best performance, security and cost-effectiveness in the market. These systems are capable of handling rapidly growing databases, while at the same time providing fast, secure access for lesser cost than competing systems. They can also adapt to changing security requirements on the fly, with the ability to change security levels on demand in addition to adding even more storage capacity without interruption.

The road show also demonstrated IBM's capability to help companies reduce costs involved in maintaining large, sensitive databases, as well as improve efficiency and reduce complexity while minimizing risks - legal and technical - whilst insuring compliance.

This ability to streamline the secure storage needs of companies includes server consolidation, remote recovery sites and data security compliance, while insuring easy management and various forms of data replication and server virtualization.

On the process side, IBM showed how it can provide comprehensive solutions that work seamlessly to assure the security of sensitive data, no matter how large the application and the level of security required, depending on multiple primary and secondary data centers that provide backups at all times.

IBM is the leading vendor in storage services giving the company a unique ability to develop and package a complete solution for customers, including servers, disk and tape storage, applications, databases, middleware, networking, business and technical consulting as well as implementation services.
