FRAMINGHAM, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 11/27/07 -- Inkriti, a leading provider of Web 2.0 Solutions for customer-centric e-business, today announced it has completed an agreement to AJAX-enable the web-interfaces of OATSystems, a recognized RFID solutions leader.
OATSystems delivers RFID-enabled solutions for industrial manufacturers, consumer product companies and retailers. These solutions enable enterprises to improve asset management, streamline assembly line operations, improve promotional effectiveness and increase on-shelf availability. With over 200 deployments on five continents, OATSystems proven solutions enable organizations to realize the value of RFID in less time, at a lower cost and with less risk.
Due to its very nature, RFID generates volumes of data as systems track millions of assets across thousands of readers. As such, OATSystems faced the challenge of creating a more user-friendly way for its customers to access, leverage and ultimately obtain value from this information.
"We wanted to enhance our user interfaces and provide a more robust, scalable and user-friendly solution that would further differentiates our product in the marketplace," said Raman Sud, VP of Engineering for OATSystems.
To address the issue, OATSystems sought to leverage AJAX to improve the representation of high-density RFID data. Recognizing that this AJAX-enablement required a solutions integrator with significant Web 2.0 development experience, the company selected Inkriti.
"We chose Inkriti for its Web 2.0 expertise, its prior experience in working with software firms like ours and its proven global delivery model," said Raman Sud, VP of Engineering of OATSystems.
As part of this agreement, Inkriti delivered several Ajax-based widgets to display time-based events, highly customizable methods to develop form-based expressions and automatic cross-browser refresh mechanisms. These widgets were built, customized and deployed by a team of experienced Ajax developers working in an offshore model to ensure rapid turnaround.
"Expertise in Web 2.0 technologies such as AJAX and Flex is very scarce these days," said Vinod Pabba, CEO of Inkriti. "Our investments in building a global talent pool over the past three years have really helped us in implementing solutions similar to OATSystems. We are excited to have successfully delivered on this agreement. We look forward to being a strategic partner in OATSystems' rapid growth."
