ReadySpace of Singapore Launches New Service Powered by Virtualization Solution Virtuozzo

ReadySpace Launches New Service

ReadySpace announced a new virtual private server (VPS) offering, powered by SWsoft Virtuozzo virtualization software, as an addition to its managed hosting services.

ReadySpace provides each customer with their own virtual server and dedicated resources such as CPU, RAM and hard disk space for their website or applications. Benefits include additional security and availability compared to a shared server, as well as consistent performance and greater server control. Customers can choose to administer and manage the dedicated server themselves or engage ReadySpace Professional Services.

"We partnered with SWsoft because it offers industry-leading Virtuozzo software supported by dedicated development and support teams who are committed to service and support," said David Loke, executive director, ReadySpace. "Through our relationship with SWsoft, ReadySpace can now offer out-of-the-box solutions for customers."

Virtuozzo is a virtualization solution for hosting providers. The container-based virtualization software partitions a single Linux or Windows operating system instance into multiple highly efficient and scalable virtual environments.

"SWsoft Virtuozzo will enable ReadySpace to take advantage of emerging opportunities such as software as a service (SaaS), while providing ReadySpace managed hosting customers with the industry's most effective virtualization solution," said Jan-Jaap Jager, manager of Asian operations, SWsoft. "By choosing Virtuozzo, ReadySpace joins SWsoft's growing community of service providers worldwide that are benefiting from ongoing innovation through our Open Fusion initiative."
