“Today, companies face significant challenges in managing new social content, in addition to the content that already resides in information silos across their organizations," said David Nuescheler, CTO of Day Software, as Day launched an AJAX-powered Web 2.0 collaboration tool aimed at managing social media.Day is a Swiss company set up in 1993 and which runs out of Basel and Newport Beach, CA. Customers for their existing CMS and Content Infrastructure products include top European companies like Deutche Bank and E-Plus, as well as General Electric in the US.
"Day’s new collaboration solution, CQ DAM, connects companies with the people that posses relevant information and feedback, enabling businesses to streamline management of their social media, while delivering the brand control and consistency required by our blue-chip customers,” Nuescheler added.
"CQ DAM extends the value of rich media by providing efficient asset management for all departments in the enterprise," he said.
"By providing efficient asset management through a central repository for all departments in the enterprise, CQ DAM extends the value of rich media. The product also leverages Web 2.0 design features such as an AJAX user interface, making ease-of-use a key benefit," Nuescheler noted.
