"There's a lot of confusion about what a mashup actually is," said Stefan Andreasen, Founder and CTO of Kapow Technologies, as he opened his presentation on how mashups are transforming the world of enterprise, a transformation in which Kapow has recently been playing an increasingly active part.

There are many data challenges associated with mashups, since there are currently only 517 mashable APIs despite the millions and millions of websites that comprise the Web, Andreasen noted.

He gave an excellent run-through of the value drivers for mashups in the enterprise and ended up with a  demo of how the Kapow Mashup Server can add value to businesses today.
