WALTHAM, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 08/14/07 -- Inkriti, a leading provider of Web 2.0 Solutions for customer-centric E-business, today announced that it has successfully launched an E-business portal for PennsyLocal, a Pennsylvania-based company that helps local businesses market their services to their customers, by leveraging new web channels such as YouTube, Facebook, Flickr and eBay. The site will serve as an interactive online community where hundreds of local businesses and thousands of consumers will be able to create and publish blogs, ads and news, giving them global, on-line reach in a cost-effective manner.
As a start-up venture, PennsyLocal needed to bring the portal to market very rapidly, to do this on a tight budget and simultaneously incorporate several Web 2.0 elements in the product. After rigorous evaluation, PennsyLocal picked Framingham, MA-based Inkriti for its expertise in building Web 2.0 enabled e-commerce solutions, and for its reputation of rapid, cost-effective delivery.
"As a player in a rapidly evolving marketplace, it was very important to bring the service to market very quickly," said Brian Brown, CEO of Local-to-Global Technologies, LLC, PennsyLocal's parent company. "We selected Inkriti because of their expertise in Web 2.0 technologies, and their global delivery model. They provided us with solutions that helped us to jump in on this unique, game changing marketing opportunity in only eight weeks and did so very cost effectively."
Inkriti combined Web 2.0 technologies in unique and innovative ways to provide PennsyLocal with a portal that provides an interactive user experience and an online user community, while saving time and money. Key elements of Inkriti's solution include:
-- Proven open-source content management software, Drupal, that provides
a free and flexible solution to manage large amounts of dynamic content
(blogs, news, ads and classifieds) generated by the hundreds of businesses
and thousands of consumers.
-- Mashups that bring together disparate third-party applications in a
seamless experience for the user, and eliminate the need to build them
internally.
-- AJAX for real-time site responsiveness and performance, and Adobe Flex
for simplified site navigation to create a memorable visitor experience and
promote loyalty among subscribers.
-- Google Analytics to provide free and robust website reporting and
analytic capabilities.
"We are excited to have brought PennsyLocal's vision to fruition, in a short span of 8-weeks, and within tight budget constraints," said Vinod Pabba, CEO of Inkriti. "As we all know, expertise in Web 2.0 technologies such as AJAX and Flex is very scarce these days. Our investments in building a talent pool over the past three years, have really helped us execute on projects like PennsyLocal and enabled this rapid and cost-effective delivery. We wish them continued success in achieving their business goals."
