Information technology media company TechTarget, Inc. (TTGT) said Monday that it recently acquired TechnologyGuide.com, Inc., a company with a portfolio of Internet content sites that provide product reviews, price comparisons and user forums for mobile technology products such as laptops and smartphones.

TechTarget also acquired Ajaxian, Inc., a Web site and conference which provides content for the community of developers for "Ajax", a web development technique for creating interactive web applications.

TechTarget acquired the businesses of TechnologyGuide.com, Inc. on April 26, 2007, and Ajaxian Inc. in late February, prior to the closing of its recent initial public offering.

The acquisition of TechnologyGuide and Ajaxian will increase the depth and range of TechTarget's extensive portfolio of targeted IT resource offerings.

TechTarget will operate the TechnologyGuide.com sites NotebookReview.com (notebook computers), Brighthand.com (smartphones) and TabletPCReview.com (mobile computing devices), and Ajaxian.com, as separate sites within the TechTarget network of media for targeted communities of IT buyers and decision-makers.
