AJAX Company Backbase Joins Industry Leaders in SD Times 100

Backbase, The AJAX Company and the leading provider of enterprise software for creating AJAX-based Rich Internet Applications (RIAs), announced that it was named to the 2006 SD Times 100. An annual award, the SD Times 100 honors companies and organizations demonstrating the greatest innovation and leadership in the software development industry for the previous year. Winners are chosen by SD Times, an IT trade newspaper for software development managers. Backbase was recognized in the "Web Development" category.

“As AJAX became a requirement for Web development, Backbase was one of the first to launch products to make it easier," said David Rubinstein, SD Times Editor-in-Chief.

“The winners of this year’s SD Times 100 awards have demonstrated their leadership in shaping the software development industry. We took into account each nominee’s products and services, its reputation among development managers, and the new ideas it brought out. These select individuals and organizations are the ones we’ve identified as helping to move the art of development forward."

Today, many businesses see RIAs as part of creating a competitive edge. Choosing the right RIA development and deployment technology is a strategic business choice.
