SupportCenter has integrated an AJAX-y user interface to its helpdesk software, and is now offering a free version as well. Viktor Zeman, CTO and Czech-based SupportCenter project manager says the company has differentiated itself from competitors: "As an internet software vendor, we handle hundreds of support requests daily. Surprisingly, many expensive helpdesk software solutions failed to meet our expectations. AJAX, Web 2.0 and Usability can make labour-intensive tasks such as online customer support much more effective and convenient."We did our best to take advantage of all these approaches and created a fast, user-friendly helpdesk software. With free version we intend to extend our user base and deliver even more innovative features based on feedback we receive."
Zeman said the free version has full functionality but limits number of agents and email accounts to one. SupportCenter is targeted toward fsmall and mid-size businesses wanting to:
- Collaboratively address customer requests using web-based application or own e-mail client
- Manage support staff easily and track their performance using real-time reports
- Keep track of all customer / company interactions
SupportCenter is available as hosted or installed application. It is truly multilingual solution that currently supports English, French, German, Norwegian, Portuguese, Slovak and Spanish languages.
