Nexaweb Technologies announced its participation at the "Practical SOA for Government" event, April 26 in Washington, DC. In addition to sponsoring this one-day intensive event, Nexaweb will demonstrate how government agencies of all sizes can increase productivity and lower total cost of ownership (TCO) by leveraging Enterprise Web 2.0 solutions to successfully extend Service-Oriented Applications (SOAs) to end-users.
Federal Agencies, like enterprises, are seeking ways to migrate systems to the Web while extracting value from existing applications and IT infrastructure. To overcome the inherent obstacles of this migration path, Nexaweb's platform successfully combines Enterprise Web 2.0's ability to securely deliver mission-critical applications over the Web and SOA's ability to integrate unique business processes and service-based applications.
"Seeing Federal agencies grapple with the need to assess and deploy SOA approaches that provide value, meet their unique needs, and offer a manageable architecture going forward, led us to the development of this seminar," said Ron Schmelzer, senior analyst for ZapThink. "Paramount to successful SOA implementations is learning how to extend service-oriented, composite applications to end users. This seminar is designed to guide attendees through concepts, business issues and technologies that demonstrate how an SOA works within an organization and the best Enterprise Web 2.0 solutions for their organization."
"A well structured Enterprise Web 2.0 framework that combines the technologies of RIAs, SOA and legacy systems provides an architecture that can deliver the ubiquitous consumption of service to anyone, anywhere in any environment," said Louis (Lou) J. Hutchinson, III, vice president, public sector sales. "Nexaweb focuses on bridging the 'Last Mile of SOA' to enterprises and governments agencies alike. This enables organizations the capability to make SOA meaningful to end-users and tangible to developers, ultimately satisfying many overarching business requirements."

Please join Steven W. Hansen, Solution Architect of Nexaweb, to learn how to overcome issues surrounding "the last mile of SOA" using Enterprise Web 2.0 solutions. To help clearly articulate this approach, real word examples will be given.
