The latest release of ComponentOne Studio Enterprise introduces four new components; Schedule for .NET, Calendar for .NET, WebSchedule for ASP.NET, and WebCalendar for ASP.NET. Additionally, it delivers a full suite of ASP.NET components supporting ASP.NET AJAX 1.0, as well as other great enhancements.“The Studio Enterprise Scheduling components provide the most powerful scheduling solution on the market today. Now you can build a fully functional, Office Outlook 2007-style scheduling application in minutes, with almost no code,” said Chris Geiger, managing director of ComponentOne Europe. “Developers will experience drag-and-drop scheduling when the components are dropped on the form; just arrange the interface, build the application, and you can start scheduling appointments in no time. What makes this possible is the unique built-in data layer that manages all of the appointment and other supporting data automatically, while the control provides access to in the box dialogs like appointments, reminders and more.”
New Schedule and Calendar Components:
• Shared features in both .NET and ASP.NET versions:
• Built-in data layer manages appointment, contact, and other data collections automatically
• Day, week, work week, and month data views in one control
• Office 2007-style AutoFormats
• Outlook-style appointments with recurrence and reminders
• Feature sets in the ASP.NET version only:

• No code AJAX support
• ASP.NET AJAX ready
ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 Support:
Studio Enterprise 2007 includes a full suite of ASP.NET AJAX-ready components that fully support Microsoft's ASP.NET AJAX Framework. Now you can AJAX-enable your Web applications without the need to understand the underlying concepts of AJAX. ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 support has been added to all ASP.NET components included in Studio Enterprise 2007. What this means for our users is that the ComponentOne ASP.NET components are compatible with ASP.NET AJAX Extensions 1.0, ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit, and can be placed in ASP.NET AJAX UpdatePanel to develop ASP.NET AJAX-enabled applications. Collectively all of these new technologies are known as ASP.NET AJAX and they bring a new level of Web development technology to our users.
New WebGrid for ASP.NET Features: We’ve added two exciting new features to our lightweight and AJAX-enabled WebGrid:
• Banded Headers: multilevel column headers that allow developers to insert a hierarchical structure within grid columns.
• Virtual Scrolling: built-in AJAX feature that automatically loads data from the server on demand. By simply enabling the VirtualScrolling property and setting the VirtualScrollSize, only the data a user requests is presented within the WebGrid area. This is a powerful feature ajax-enable your data on the Web – with no code.
Other Great Enhancements:
• Visit the ComponentOne Web site for additional features and enhancements to other popular .NET Windows Forms and ASP.NET components including C1Chart, C1Data, C1Excel, C1FlexGrid, C1PDF, C1Preview, C1SuperToolTip, C1TrueDBGrid, C1Zip and C1WebSplitter.

ASP.NET AJAX Keynote at AJAXWorld Conference & Expo
Meaningful, productive, forward looking AJAX is at core a balance. A balance between client and server. A balance between commercial and open source. A balance between single platform and multiplatform. A balance between de facto and du jour standards. A balance between well established and emerging technologies. Come hear from Microsoft's Brad Abrams, who has been designing parts of the .NET Framework since 1998, how Microsoft is supporting and encouraging this balance with ASP.NET AJAX (formerly code-named “Atlas”) and future technologies.
Speaker Bio: Brad Abrams is Group Program Manager for Microsoft's rich Web client framework for building AJAX-style applications, ASP.NET AJAX (formerly code-named "Atlas"). He has been deeply involved with the .NET Framework 3.0 and Windows Vista efforts from their beginning, was a founding member of both the Common Language Runtime, and .NET Framework teams at Microsoft where he leads the UI Framework and Services team. Abrams has been designing parts of the .NET Framework since 1998 when he started his framework design career building the BCL (Base Class Library) that ship as a core part of the .NET Framework. He was also the lead editor on the Common Language Specification (CLS), the .NET Framework Design Guidelines and the libraries in the ECMA\ISO CLI Standard. Co-author of Programming in the .NET Environment, Abrams was also editor on .NET Framework Standard Library Annotated Reference Vols 1 and 2 and the Framework Design Guidelines.
