It generates DHTML editors for all data types, including file uploads (via flash 8), an HTML editor (tinyMCE), a GUID generator, a date time editor (supports multiple formats), checkboxes, radio buttons, text areas etc. It also builds all forms for executing any stored procedures in the database and auto generates HTML output for the results of the stored procedures. It also supports web services so you can add your business logic into a web service layer and call your web service methods from auto-generated forms that perform input data validation (it analyses the types your webmethods are expecting using reflection). You can also print, export to excel and add custom actions (pass values from tables/views into stored procedures or web services) without writing any code whatsoever.
" It’s entirely an AJAX application – once you have logged in there are no page refreshes or post backs. The login system can either be our built in encrypted XML role-based system, it can interface with existing user/groups/roles tables or it can integrate with Active Directory. Using the admin system you can grant levels of permissions to all database/ web service objects." says Sean Tearney of DeveloperinaBox. " The basic premise of it is that people working with data want to be able to work quickly, efficiently and be able to view whatever data they need without losing the data they’re looking at, at the time. Our AJAX website allows you to look at any data in your database simultaneously, so you can get a much more vivid picture of what’s going on."
