With developers having traveled to New York's Roosevelt Hotel from as far away as Norway to take advantage of the "Learning by Doing" approach that lies at the heart of the Bootcamp, the collective concentration in the Roosevelt's Vanderbildt Suite was almost tangible.
Within just a few minutes of the Bootcamp's start at 8:30AM, Hinchliffe had attendees creating and filling out the essential development files that they would need for the succesful completion of today's goal, which is nothing less than the building of their first-ever complete and working AJAX application by the end of the day's intense instruction.

AJAXWorld Magazine editor-in-chief Dion Hinchcliffe advises an AJAXWorld University
Bootcamp attendee on the results of his W3 Validation query
on code written at today's Bootcamp.

AJAXWorld University Bootcamp participant Helge Skriverik (pictured left) came all the way
from Norway to lean how to work with AJAX's advanced capabilities.

With an ample supply of coffee and high-level instruction, wrestling with
CSS, XHTML, the DOM and XMLHttpRequest_Object seems that much easier!
