Vivid Seats launches new white label program, industry-friendly alternative for the ticketing industry

CHICAGO, Aug. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Vivid Seats today announced the launch of its new Marquee Platform, a white label solution developed as an industry-friendly alternative for online marketers, publishers, and ticket sellers. The offering is built on a full-service ticket fulfillment model in order to give site owners a turnkey solution that offers greater service level accountability than current affiliate-based options. The model also provides dual benefits for ticket resellers by eliminating chargeback risk and customer service costs when selling through the platform, as well as by providing a new alternative for their own ecommerce and brand building initiatives.

"Offering a white label solution built on a robust full-service platform fills a clear void in the industry today," said Kevin Heniff, Senior Director of Business Development for Vivid Seats. "It gives site owners more control over their customers' experience and allows for greater economies of scale and efficiency in operations." The program will leverage Vivid Seats' advanced technology infrastructure, centralized order processing, and fraud prevention expertise designed to provide the high degree of safety, privacy, and customer satisfaction associated with a full-service model.

"We applaud the recent regulatory oversight addressing the poor customer experience associated with current affiliate-based private label programs," explained Mr. Heniff in reference to recent FTC intervention linked to deceptive advertising practices within the ticketing industry. "Under existing models, confused or concerned customers are handed off to independent sellers uninvolved in the deceptive practices, yet who are then expected to shoulder the cost of the dissatisfaction. The Marquee Platform is explicitly designed to prevent those situations."

Per Mr. Heniff, participation will be subject to a rigorous application process. Eligibility will only be offered to site owners in full compliance with all regulatory guidance on acceptable advertising practices for the industry and to those who promise to adhere to strict sales terms and privacy protection for customers. The application process will include a thorough site audit, and ongoing participation will require regular oversight reviews. Once accepted, participants will experience a variety of benefits, including substantial access to instantly downloadable tickets, enhanced seating maps compatible both with Adobe Flash and non-Flash browsers, and a vast array of inventory.

"As part of a full-service program, sellers will not have to spend time on customer service or worry about chargeback risk, allowing them to focus on their core business of buying and selling tickets," said Eric Vassilatos, Co-Founder of Vivid Seats.  "As a result, the platform will enjoy full participation from the seller community, resulting in more attractive inventory for marketers and a greater opportunity for sales, especially with sports and high-profile championship event tickets."

Online marketers, publishers, ticket sellers, and site owners interested in switching to the Marquee Platform can contact [email protected] or visit www.vividseats.com/white-label-program.html for more information.

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the massive amount of information associated with these devices. Wooed by the promise of faster innovation, lower TCO, and greater agility, businesses of every shape and size have embraced the cloud at every layer of the IT stack – from apps to file sharing to infrastructure. The typical organization currently uses more than a dozen sanctioned cloud apps and will shift more than half of all workloads to the cloud by 2018. Such cloud investments have delivered measurable benefits. But they’ve also resulted in some unintended side-effects: complexity and risk. End users now struggle to navigate multiple environments with varying degrees of performance. Companies are unclear on the security of their data and network access. And IT squads are overwhelmed trying to monitor and manage it all.
