AJAXWorld Faculty To Present Social Tools Expert Stowe Boyd

Stowe Boyd Will Give Session On "The User Experience of Social Applications"

Stowe Boyd (pictured), internationally recognized authority on social tools and their impact on business and society and editor of /Message, the blog on "what is happening at the edge, and its impact on the center," will be speaking at AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2007 East, being held 19-21 March at The Roosevelt Hotel in New York City.

Boyd will look at how effective social applications increasingly share a common set of user experience principles that shape their design. He will discuss what the underlying rationale is for this user experience, and how application developers can adapt it to their needs.

As well as editing /Message, Boyd is CEO of Blue Whale Labs, a social applications consulting company. He is an internationally recognized authority on business strategy and information technology, particularly regarding real-time, collaborative, process, and content management technologies. Over the past decade he has consulted, written and spoken widely on the challenges confronting business management and the social impacts of disruptive technologies.

At AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2007 East, delegates will hear and learn not only the history, process, and inspiration behind AJAX, they will also be helped to design actual AJAX applications using JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), the Document Object Model (DOM) and XMLHttpRequestObject.

Delegates can hand-pick sessions from six tracks pitched at a a variety of levels from Beginner to Advanced. Rather than staying at the platform-agnostic level, developers and IT professionals will find among the 100+ sessions at AJAXWorld real-world examples in all the main server-side technologies such as PHP, Java, .NET and ColdFusion.

As a self-proclaimed "media subversive" Boyd is a pretty 'edgy' speaker for SYS-CON to be showcasing, seems like they're beginning now to really get their arms around Web 2.0 and its chief emissaries of wisdom and light! :-)

The blogosphere needs phsyical outlets, too, like conference platforms and such.

I'll be there in March, Boyd. Keep up the good work dude!
