DALLAS, Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Voyager Expanded Learning(R) announced today that it has entered into a relationship with Australian e-Learning company 3PLearning to create VmathLive(TM), the new technology component of Voyager's math intervention product, Vmath(R).
3P Learning is the creator of the online math program known as Mathletics. Mathletics is currently used by students in Australia and New Zealand to improve their math skills in two ways: through curriculum development and by competing against each other in online, real-time math contests. 3PLearning and Voyager will jointly tailor a curriculum to align with Vmath program modules for American students. Eventually, students using VmathLive will be able to compete against children in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, England, Hong Kong and Singapore.
"We are extremely excited to partner with Voyager to bring VmathLive to the United States," says Shane Hill, general manager at 3P Learning. He adds, "Like Voyager, our team at 3P Learning is passionate about engaging students in learning and creating an environment where students can reach their full potential. We look forward to welcoming American students to the Live Playing Arena, which will give it a wonderful international feel."
VmathLive will provide interactive activities that reinforce the concepts and skills taught in the Vmath curriculum. In addition, VmathLive will provide additional problem solving opportunities, math concept development, skill fluency and preparation for high stakes assessments.
"For students, learning math should be fun and exciting. By delivering VmathLive with 3PLearning, we are incorporating technology without compromising educational integrity," says Ron Klausner, president of ProQuest Education and Voyager Expanded Learning.
As with all Voyager programs, administrators and teachers using Vmath and VmathLive will be able to access Voyager's Professional Online Resource Tools (VPORT(TM)) and view student progress data at any time during the school year.
