NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 05/16/14 -- Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced it has hired Matt Breslin and Lisa Pope as Senior Vice Presidents to support the company's strong growth in the areas of technology and cloud sales. Reporting to Infor President, Stephan Scholl, Breslin and Pope will lead sales of Infor's Platform Technologies and Infor CloudSuite™, respectively.

"The investments Infor has made in R&D over the past three years, including introducing more than four times the number of new products last year than in 2010, are paying off with growth that is significantly outpacing the market," said Stephan Scholl, President of Infor. "Matt Breslin and Lisa Pope are ideal leaders to help support our growth, bringing a deep understanding of the specific challenges customers face and how the latest technologies, like Infor ION®, Infor Ming.le™, and Infor CloudSuite can arm them with significant competitive advantages."

There are now more than 2,000 customers of Infor ION, the company's lightweight middleware solution, and more than 41,000 users of Infor Ming.le, a comprehensive platform for social collaboration, business process improvement and contextual analytics.

Pope joins Infor as Senior Vice President of Infor CloudSuite. Most DevOps journeys involve several phases of maturity. Research shows that the inflection point where organizations begin to see maximum value is when they implement tight integration deploying their code to their infrastructure. Success at this level is the last barrier to at-will deployment. Storage, for instance, is more capable than where we read and write data. In his session at @DevOpsSummit at 20th Cloud Expo, Josh Atwell, a Developer Advocate for NetApp, will discuss the role and value extensible storage infrastructure has in accelerating software development activities, improve code quality, reveal multiple deployment options through automated testing, and support continuous integration efforts. All this will be described using tools common in DevOps organizations.
