Billy Hoffman (pictured), a lead security researcher for SPI Dynamics whose work has been featured in Wired, Make magazine, Slashdot, G4TechTV, and in various other journals and Web sites, will be one of 125 speakers and presenters at AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2007 East - the largest AJAX-focused speaker faculty ever assembled in one place at one time. In March 2007 over 1,000 developers, architects, IT managers, and software professionals of every stripe will be converging in New York City to attend the East coast AJAXWorld Conference & Expo - the most comprehensive meeting on the most significant technology subjects of recent time: AJAX, Rich Internet Applications, and Web 2.0.
Delegates will hear first-hand from the creators, the innovators, the leaders and the early adopters of AJAX, and a slew of leading vendors will provide sneak peeks of new frameworks, tools, products and applications during the conference, which will have over 100 sessions and presentations given by 125 different speakers.
Hoffman's presentation will specifically discuss browser/server interact issues, the increased attack surface, repudiation of HTTP requests, exposing application logic, vulnerabilities in AJAX bridges, Cross-site scripting and AJAX (i.e. The MySpace Virus), QA challenges for exhaustive testing, inappropriate use of AJAX, and input validation issues. Finally we discuss how to properly design an AJAX application to avoid these security issues and demonstrate methods to secure existing applications.
AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2007 East will be jump-started with our full one-day “AJAXWorld University Boot Camp,” personally led by Web 2.0 and AJAX guru Dion Hinchcliffe, followed by the Main Conference and Expo over the following 2 days.
AJAXWorld 2007 East Conference & Expo received the largest number of "charter sponsors" of any Web 2.0 event in 2007, including:
