Entrepreneur Media Partners with Adaptive Media to Propel App Developers Via TrepLabs Platform

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Too many independent app developers have felt the silent returns on their hard-earned investments. They endure a long process spent bringing their brilliant app ideas to life and making it available to mobile-device users—only to get lost in the morass of the approximately 1.3 million apps available on iTunes. TrepLabs is a platform designed to demystify the process of turning an app into a successful entrepreneurial venture, thanks to a newly formed partnership between Entrepreneur Media and Adaptive Media (OTCQB: MIMV).

The idea behind TrepLabs is to serve as an incubator, consultant and marketing platform to give otherwise unknown apps the means to reach their full potential. Entrepreneur and Adaptive will identify existing apps from any category that have not received the attention they deserve—or in some exceptional cases ones that have yet to launch—to work with for up to 24 months. As business partners, they'll offer their respective expertise and collaborate with the developer for a second shot at success. Entrepreneur and Adaptive will receive half of the revenues throughout the duration of the agreed upon partnership. After the term ends, the app developer is again independent with an enhanced version of his or her app.

"App development is an exploding entrepreneurial niche that's not going away, and we're all too ready to place ourselves in the middle of this business opportunity," says Ryan Shea, president and COO of Entrepreneur Media. "Helping small businesses thrive is what we do, and the names we are already working with so far — Eye Jumper, Slide Contacts, Camerarrific — have the potential to be top sellers."

The Adaptive Media team, experts in digital marketing and monetization, will review everything from graphic design and user experience to revenue opportunities in an effort to identify potential tweaks worth making for a better product and more income. Entrepreneur, a content resource for the small-business community, will feature not only the app but also the developer's business story for exposure to millions of its readers. Together, they will work with the app developer to formulate a solid business plan to move forward, gain more profits and become leading names in their respective app categories. The ability to download each app, learn about its history and follow its progress is available on the TrepLabs website.

"We are thrilled about our partnership with Entrepreneur Media, and excited to help launch great apps from talented, world-class developers who have yet to be discovered," says Qayed Shareef, CEO of Adaptive Media. "With our deep expertise in all facets of digital marketing, particularly mobile, we can help steer unknown and independent app developers down a path to success."

As improved versions are released, creators will engage with customers who provide feedback so that the app's evolution will also involve a community effort. App developers interested in participating in the TrepLabs program should email [email protected]. Between three and six applicants will be chosen per month.

With more than 30 Kubernetes solutions in the marketplace, it's tempting to think Kubernetes and the vendor ecosystem has solved the problem of operationalizing containers at scale or of automatically managing the elasticity of the underlying infrastructure that these solutions need to be truly scalable. Far from it. There are at least six major pain points that companies experience when they try to deploy and run Kubernetes in their complex environments. In this presentation, the speaker will detail these pain points and explain how cloud can address them.
The deluge of IoT sensor data collected from connected devices and the powerful AI required to make that data actionable are giving rise to a hybrid ecosystem in which cloud, on-prem and edge processes become interweaved. Attendees will learn how emerging composable infrastructure solutions deliver the adaptive architecture needed to manage this new data reality. Machine learning algorithms can better anticipate data storms and automate resources to support surges, including fully scalable GPU-centric compute for the most data-intensive applications. Hyperconverged systems already in place can be revitalized with vendor-agnostic, PCIe-deployed, disaggregated approach to composable, maximizing the value of previous investments.
When building large, cloud-based applications that operate at a high scale, it's important to maintain a high availability and resilience to failures. In order to do that, you must be tolerant of failures, even in light of failures in other areas of your application. "Fly two mistakes high" is an old adage in the radio control airplane hobby. It means, fly high enough so that if you make a mistake, you can continue flying with room to still make mistakes. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Lee Atchison, Principal Cloud Architect and Advocate at New Relic, discussed how this same philosophy can be applied to highly scaled applications, and can dramatically increase your resilience to failure.
Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Buildings are a pool of ever-changing performance data from large automated systems such as heating and cooling to the people that live and work within them. Through machine learning, buildings can optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve occupant comfort by sharing information within the building and with outside city infrastructure via real time shared cloud capabilities.
