SAN DIEGO, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Focus Synthesis LLC and eMolecules, Inc. announced today that they have entered into a collaboration to establish an online catalog of chemical structures with eCommerce functionality. This will allow Focus Synthesis to offer its customers the ability to search their catalog by chemical structure and place orders for lists of chemicals online. eMolecules will use their novel internet search technology based on the "Advanced Search" function of http://www.emolecules.com/ and a newly developed eCommerce component.
"We are pleased to enter into this partnership with eMolecules, which will augment our ability interact with our customers using chemical structures, the preferred language of chemists," said President and chief executive officer Darryl Rideout of Focus Synthesis LLC. "We plan to jointly develop additional cheminformatics tools and make them available to our customers. This will enhance their ability to rationally select the right building blocks for their research projects, and it will help us grow our business."
"We are excited about this collaboration with Focus Synthesis, an innovative supplier of rationally selected chemicals," said President and chief executive officer Klaus Gubernator of eMolecules. "Focus Synthesis has been an early adopter of our public search engine http://www.emolecules.com/ by including their catalog in the global database as well as advertising on this popular web site."
