AJAXWorld Conference & Expo announced today that ComponentArt joined the October 2-4, 2006 event as Gold Sponsor.

ComponentArt's current focus is on user interface elements for Web site and Web application development, as well as data visualization solutions for both Web and Windows applications.

The next-generation user-centric Web is hurtling toward us and it is a rich-media future in which AJAX, the most talked about of all the Rich Internet technologies, is positioned firmly at center stage. Burton Group defines 'Rich' Internet Applications as those that offer functionality beyond standard HTML frames and hyperlinks, the most famous examples of such functionality on the Web to date being the AJAX-based Google Maps and Gmail.

AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2006 recognizes that, while on the one hand Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) as a category is wider and broader than just AJAX, on the other it is indisputably AJAX that has acted as the tipping point. This is why at AJAXWorld the primary focus will be on major innovative AJAX implementations of the Google Maps variety. Milos Glisic, a senior developer with ComponentArt (www.componentart.com) will also present a session at the conference. Milos has been with the company since its inception and has been instrumental in developing and refining the unique patent-pending technologies found in ComponentArt's Web.UI component suite. He has many years of experience working with web-based user interface technologies and holds a Hon.B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
