Aspect Enterprise Solutions Releases Real - Time Data (RTD) Retrieval Tool

Aspect Enterprise Solutions, a leading provider of multi-commodity trading and risk management Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications delivered in the Cloud, today announces support for Real-Time Data (RTD) for AspectDSC, its decision support center for commodity traders. AspectDSC subscribers now have a choice of using either Dynamic Data Exchange links (DDE) or the newer and more robust RTD technology for their real-time data retrieval.

RTD offers a number of advantages over the older DDE technology. RTD is a faster and more reliable option for intensive data usage and does not suffer from the occasional performance issues that can result with using DDE for a large number of formulae in one sheet. In addition, DDE links lack a cell referencing capability which is now possible via RTD, enhancing the user experience for trading professionals and providing greater versatility. RTD gives users the option of a lag free, faster and more reliable service, allowing quicker response times and more reliable access to crucial and ever changing commodity data.

To add the new functionality user organizations simply need to upgrade their existing subscriptions, and Aspect instantly turns on the functionality within the online portal. Existing AspectDSC users who prefer to continue using the DDE can do so without any change.

Brigette Gebhard, vice president of marketing at Aspect says, "We are fully committed to helping our customers leverage the latest technology to stay ahead of the market. Our recent award for Top Technology House of the Year 2012 from Energy Risk shows our commitment has not gone unnoticed in the market."

Delivered as a SaaS application, AspectDSC requires no software to be installed, it is easy to support and simple to learn and use. Users can customize the solution to their own specific needs, displaying as little or as much information as they require. Widely deployed with global traders, brokerage companies and financial institutions AspectDSC combines some of the world's most respected sources of market information including NYMEX, ICE, Forex, LME, COMEX, CME and CBOT together with publishers like Platts, Dow Jones, Argus and the BBC. It's affordable and available on desktop and all tablet and mobile devices.
