Mezeo Software today announced the latest release of the Mezeo cloud storage platform. Mezeo solutions include MezeoCloud, a secure, robust and highly scalable storage services layer for cloud scale applications, and MezeoFile, a secure file sync and share solution. Designed for enterprises and service providers, Mezeo solutions are brandable and can be deployed in private, public and hybrid clouds.
Platform Extensions
The MezeoCloud 4.2 release delivers new and enhanced server capabilities designed to improve user experience, support compliance auditing, and expand storage options. New to the MezeoCloud platform are:
- Shared workspaces for collaboration
- Object event feeds for notifications of file and folder updates
- Amazon S3 and OpenStack storage connectors -- allowing data to be stored in cloud storage services with encryption options
- NetApp StorageGrid storage connector -- leveraging StorageGrid CDMI
- File type metadata indexing for advanced search operations
- File thumbnail and preview generation
- Post-processing plug-in support
In addition to the capabilities of the platform, the administration console has added delegated administration functionality designed for service providers and enterprises. New client capabilities have also been added including a Microsoft Outlook plug-in and key enhancements to existing iOS, Android and Web clients detailed below.

- Easily convert a guest user (created by a Secure Share) to a domain user

- Global file search across all containers
- Thumbnail previews for documents, images, music and videos
- Windows and Mac Sync client enhancements including right-click options in Explorer/Finder for secure share, create a public link, view comments, and view previous versions
- Deploying custom clients (and brands) has been streamlined for a better workflow
