Kurt Cagle will deliver a session at the upcoming First International AJAXWorld Conference & Expo, October 2-4, 2006, in Santa Clara, California.
JAX technologies currently figure heavily in consumer-based applications, but enterprise adoption of AJAX has been considerably slower and more constrained, due in great part to the significant architecture changes that AJAX tends to bring to the server side, an area where there has been significant investment in the last decade. This talk/forum looks at the implications of AJAX on enterprise architectures and explores ways that AJAX can be used to help the transition to a more SOA architecture with minimal investment change needed on the part of IT managers.
Speaker Bio: Kurt Cagle is a developer and author, with nearly 20 books to his name and several dozen articles. He writes about Web technologies, open source, Java, and .NET programming issues. He has also worked with Microsoft and others to develop white papers on these technologies. He is the owner of Cagle Communications and a co-author of Real-World AJAX: Secrets of the Masters (SYS-CON books, 2006).
