Evolving Systems' Dynamic SIM Allocation(TM) Solution Helps Strengthen Globe's Prepaid Business

ENGLEWOOD, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/13/13 -- Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVOL)

New DSA Platform will:

  • Enhance the customer experience
  • Increase customer retention
  • Enable more efficient marketing campaigns through customer data acquisition

Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVOL), a leading provider of strategic solutions to telecom operators worldwide, today announced that Globe Telecom, a key challenger brand in the Philippines, has launched the Company's Dynamic SIM Allocation™ (DSA) solution to help improve customer experience for its prepaid subscribers and manage SIMs inventory more efficiently. The deployment is part of a broader systems and network transformation project.

DSA brings a number of compelling benefits to Globe. By offering a more tailored service to its subscribers at the point of activation, including dynamic number selection, Globe will be the first carrier in the Philippines to enable prepaid subscribers to choose their preferred number, something that has never been done in the country before.

In today's hyper competitive wireless markets, knowing more about your customer is gold dust for operators. More knowledge enables a better customer experience and improved overall customer satisfaction. DSA will help Globe collect data about its customers at the point of activation which will be used to give prepaid subscribers a more customized user experience.

DSA's number allocation will also allow Globe to manage its numbers more efficiently and provide greater flexibility in SIM card distribution without the usual costs associated with pre-provisioning. DSA will be able to detect the type of device being used and tailor the offerings accordingly.

"Globe is in the midst of a company-wide systems and network transformation project, updating or replacing the network, billing and OSS environments. DSA is a critical component of this project and an integral part of our market expansion strategy," said Peter Bithos, Head of Consumer Business Group at Globe Telecom.

"We're very excited to be part of Globe's network transformation project and for DSA to be playing such a pivotal role in that," said Thad Dupper, Chairman and CEO of Evolving Systems. "It's a massive project to embark on but we're confident DSA can deliver a huge range of benefits to help Globe achieve its prepaid growth plans."

One of the most compelling promises of the cloud is that you can pull out a credit card and be working in minutes. No purchase orders to fill out, no equipment to wait for on the loading dock. Just instant access to the resources you need, when you need them. But accessibility comes at a price, and an unintentional consequence may be that you create yet another orphaned identity silo. Enterprise IT has spent years consolidating its mishmash of directories, only to discover that cloud now threate...
