CaseWare IDEA Releases Highly Anticipated IDEA® Version Nine

New Features Help Refine Analysis, Share Results and Complete Audits with Greater Speed

HOUSTON, Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- CaseWare IDEA and its U.S. distributor Audimation Services, Inc. today announced the release of IDEA® Version Nine, the most high-performance and user-friendly audit analytics software available. New features include a ribbon and quick access toolbar, a library for easy data access and increased collaboration, advanced Benford's Law tests, plus increased speed and new functionality. The release also features enhancements for IDEA Server and full integration with IDEA add-ons.

"IDEA's seamless integration with IDEA Server, SmartAnalyzer, and SmartExporter not only cuts the time spent bouncing between products, it offers the ultimate in audit workflow efficiency by bridging data import, analysis, and reporting," said Alain Soubliere, IDEA Product Manager. "We're pleased to offer great new features and enhancements across our product lines that will make long lasting impressions in the data analytics industry. From listening carefully to our customers and having worked years in the field, we know first-hand the challenges that auditors face. We're here to provide tools to improve user experience and promote better usability, productivity, and collaboration."

The new IDEA Ribbon helps users quickly find and perform tasks and tests, including predefined tests and routines available in SmartAnalyzer. Files such as equations, record definitions, and exported files are now saved to the IDEA Library where they are grouped by categories for easy access. Users can easily browse items and view properties including status, last modified date and size. CaseWare consulted with Benford's Law expert Dr. Mark Nigrini to improve IDEA's digital analytics to offer four fraud-finding tests. IDEA Version Nine also features accelerated analytics processing when compared to Version 8.5. Other enhancements include new Virtual Time and Editable Time field tasks, additional @functions and the ability to extract and save records as needed for further analysis.

"Data analytics has emerged as the go-to tool to get more done in less time while improving the quality of work," said Carolyn Newman, President, Audimation Services, Inc. "IDEA Version Nine is by far the most visually appealing, easy to use and robust version CaseWare has ever released. They have carefully considered user requests and invested significant resources to deliver a truly superior data analysis solution that outperforms any other audit software available. Plus, when clients purchase IDEA from Audimation Services, they can rely on our customer-first approach to helping them get the most from their technology investment."

IDEA Server offers enhanced collaboration across the enterprise including the ability to share files with colleagues working on the same project via the Library and synchronize local files with files on the server. Users can save time when creating virtual databases and see results nearly immediately without creating a new file. IDEA Server includes many improvements for a secure and integrated experience, including more flexible control access to projects without reliance on IT staff, simplified processes for logging in, and the ability to automate workflows among team members.

IDEA users will also benefit from simplified licensing options, including dongle-less access and the ability to expand into other CaseWare technologies such as SmartAnalyzer, SmartExporter for SAP and CaseWare Monitor. Pricing for the IDEA desktop and IDEA Server is available from the U.S. distributor Audimation Services, Inc. by e-mailing sales@audimation.com or calling 888-641-2800.
