DeveloperWeek 2013 Kicks Off Week with Over 1,200 Registered and 7 Days of Programming February 1-7

DeveloperWeek Hackathon Friday, February 1, 2013 kicks off the week where over 1,200 web, mobile, and software developers will converge in San Francisco for the first annual DeveloperWeek Conference February 1-7, 2013. Highlighting the conference schedule is a who’s who of technology experts from Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Dun & Bradstreet, PayPal, Continuuity, New Relic, NuoDB, Adobe and over 100 more companies.

“DeveloperWeek 2013 is a one-week incubator for entrepreneurs, developers, and designers to meet, form development teams, attend technology sessions and workshops, demo new apps, and some will even come away from the week with an entirely new startup,” said Geoff Domoracki, CEO of Data 2.0, the producer of DeveloperWeek. “Through our scholarship program, we’ve already pre-approved 20 developer teams with brand new app ideas ranging from mobile health apps and augmented reality technology to stock market analytics and the next big social network idea.”

As developers have become the core members of every new tech company, DeveloperWeek aims to educate attendees on how to become developers, learn new technologies, and build applications. Unlike other technology events, DeveloperWeek combines a 3-day hackathon with over 350 registered attendees, a 3-day conference with over 200 speakers and 80 technology workshops and panel talks, a 1-day Prototype Day for developers to demo their new apps, and 8 additional networking events during the week-long festivities.

The DeveloperWeek Conference & Festival 2013 includes a hiring mixer, evening receptions, and several city-wide events where participants can network with the newest generation of tech enthusiasts. DeveloperWeek is sponsored in part by Dun & Bradstreet and Microsoft. Tickets are on sale online through February 5.

You're getting pitched every day from your legacy enterprise software and hardware vendors about "cloud." They're doing an amazing job of convincing your CIO and CTO about what cloud is and how you should use it.
