City of Boise Saves Millions by Implementing Infor Software With Help From Ciber

NEW YORK, NY and GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 01/23/13 -- Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, and Ciber, a global information technology consulting, services and outsourcing company, today announced The City of Boise significantly improved operational efficiencies with Infor software implemented by Ciber. Ciber's expertise and results-driven approach helped city leaders deploy the Infor Enwisen Human Resource Management, Infor Lawson Enterprise Financial Management and Infor Supply Chain Management software suites, thereby creating $3.8 million in savings over the next 10 years and improving service to the city's 211,000 residents.

"We chose Ciber as a solutions and implementation partner because of their team's focus and proven experience with ERP process improvements and change management in the public and private sectors," said Garry Beaty, Chief Information Officer, City of Boise. "In addition to their implementation experience, working with Ciber was also a good people fit. And, as we expected, the go-live milestones went smoothly."

As Idaho's largest city, government officials were looking to replace a costly and poorly integrated system with a seamless software approach. "The new system improves current business processes and enables better decision making citywide," adds Beaty. "We will save money and have instituted operational improvements, which positions us for the future and ultimately improves services to our residents."

Proven experience, understanding of objectives and ability to guide clients through complex change processes made Ciber uniquely prepared to collaborate with the city on this project. "The City of Boise and Ciber were committed to excellence. This project is an example of how to work collaboratively to prepare and execute a major enterprise IT project," said Beth Dvoracek, Ciber's Infor practice director. "Ciber's ERP expertise in the public sector, combined with the City's disciplined project team, created an efficient and robust system for the City of Boise."
