HARTFORD, Conn., Jan. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Back9Network, a new lifestyle television network and media company, today announced the launch of a redesigned Back9Network.com, its online content hub. The company also announced it was nearing completion of construction of its Corporate Headquarters, which has been designed as a dual-purpose office and digital studio, located in downtown Hartford.
The new Back9Network.com — with an upgraded user experience — is an ad-supported online clubhouse open to everyone. Featuring free content with dynamic video storytelling, columns, coverage and commentary from more than 30 contributors worldwide, and a modern, clean, user-friendly design, the new Back9Network.com is optimized for viewing and browsing on any device (smartphone, tablet or desktop). The redesign was developed by Omnigon Communications, whose clients include Comedy Central, NBA, FOX Sports, USTA, Sporting News, MSG, NASCAR, New York Rangers, New York Knicks, Chicago Blackhawks and more.
"The beta version of Back9Network.com was launched a year ago and served us well, but as we ramp-up our programming plans and content development in 2013 we need a digital home that is a welcoming, more dynamic destination for everyone," said James L. ("Jamie") Bosworth, founder and CEO, Back9Network. "The redesigned Back9Network.com is a much better reflection of who we are and the kind of experience we intend to deliver to anyone who lives — or aspires to live — the golf lifestyle. We will continue to add new online and mobile features as we expand our coverage."
With additional features to be rolled out in April prior to The Masters, the redesigned Back9Network.com offers visitors a vibrant experience to watch Back9Network's online video programming, including the daily Back9 in 90, to read coverage and commentary, and to view photo galleries. Visitors will also enjoy an improved audio player to listen to the daily online simulcast and show archives of SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio's Fairways of Life with Matt Adams. The site also integrates improved social sharing functionality with Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
"In 2012, we put into place the personnel and established the infrastructure to position us for success in 2013 and beyond," said Bosworth. "Just as we've renovated our online home, when we finish construction of our Corporate Headquarters, our talented team will have a dual-purpose office space that will be used daily as a digital soundstage for online and on-air programming. So be forewarned: when you visit us in Hartford, be prepared to be part of the story on Back9Network!"
Located on the 10th Floor of One American Row in downtown Hartford (known as The Phoenix Building), construction began in the fourth quarter of 2012 on the Back9Network Corporate Headquarters with digital studio space. Featuring a spectacular lobby and lounge area overlooking the city, Back9Network will welcome visitors into an interactive working studio space that will include more than 15 different locations for filming and ample capacity for growth. Visit www.back9nation.com/offices to view plans.
The announcements were made prior to the start of the 60th PGA Merchandise Show and 11th Annual PGA Merchandise Show Outdoor Demo Day and Indoor Demo Days, held this year from Jan. 23-26, 2013, at the Orange County Convention Center and Orange County National Golf Center in Orlando, Fla. Back9Network will be located at Booth #1153 on the show floor, flanked by Nike Golf, COBRA PUMA GOLF and Callaway Golf in the equipment hall.
Back9Network, based in Hartford, Conn., is a new lifestyle television network and media company. Back9Network was developed as a complementary alternative to traditional media's focus on professional golf tournament coverage. Focused on compelling storytelling, interesting personalities, features and fashions, interviews and instruction, travel, gear and so much more, fans of all kinds will want to hang with the Back9Network. Back9Network.com, the online clubhouse for Back9Network, delivers a fresh perspective on the golf lifestyle and its worldwide influence.
Back9Network's Corporate Headquarters and TV/Video Production Studio are a central part of the rebirth of downtown Hartford. Back9Network joins ESPN, NBC Sports and YES Network in Connecticut, which is quickly becoming the sports media capital of the world. Back9Network's leadership includes respected and outspoken executives from the golf and media industries. Clint Eastwood serves as chairman of the Back9Network Creative Committee. The term culture has had a polarizing effect among DevOps supporters. Some propose that culture change is critical for success with DevOps, but are remiss to define culture. Some talk about a DevOps culture but then reference activities that could lead to culture change and there are those that talk about culture change as a set of behaviors that need to be adopted by those in IT. There is no question that businesses successful in adopting a DevOps mindset have seen departmental culture change, ...
