Advisorbox Announces Official Launch for Supporting Financial and Investment Advisors

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - January 16, 2013) - Advisorbox announced their official launch this morning. Advisorbox provides financial industry advisor solutions directly to advisors and firms who work with advisors. Solutions are provided through Advisorbox corporate solutions, the Advisorbox family of firms and websites.

Their website http://www.advisorbox.com offers a wide variety of advisor solutions categorized into Career, Manage, Connect and Growth "Boxes." Advisorbox offers extensive solutions for advisors including mergers and acquisitions, recruiting, compliance, payroll, HR and benefit plans, organic and inorganic growth, lending and funding, and practice valuations.

The Advisorbox family of websites includes the AdvisorboxDirectory.com, which is a free directory of advisor solutions for advisors. Over 100 companies have already created a profile on the Directory. The AdvisorboxExchange.com is an M&A and recruiting portal providing matchmaking and consulting solutions. FindAdvisors.com matches the public with financial, insurance, tax and legal advisors by geography or service.

Advisorbox is uniquely organized and positioned to capture market share. The firm was started by a handful of leading advisor solution firms who believed combining resources within a family of firms and consolidating marketing efforts under the Advisorbox brand would maximize the benefits each firm could provide to advisors.

"We are excited to be open for business. We feel we have industry leading solutions to offer advisors, financial firms such as RIAs and broker dealers, and to advisor solution service firms," said Ryan Shanks, Managing Partner.

There are ten firms comprising Advisorbox and more solution providers are being evaluated for addition to the family. The current family of firms are:

  • Fusionbox: Web solutions and internet marketing arm of Advisorbox
  • Paychex: Payroll and tax services, HR outsourcing and benefit plans
  • Finetooth Consulting: Independent and RIA evaluation and integration
  • DeVoe & Company: M&A and practice valuations
  • Regulatory Compliance: Everything regulatory and compliance

Advisorbox markets advisor solutions provided by its family firms through strategic partners, a family of websites, a consultant and support team, internet marketing channels, professional alliances, webinars and social media. Their mantra is to help one advisor at a time to open your potential, a tagline Advisorbox trademarked.

CloudEXPO Stories
The deluge of IoT sensor data collected from connected devices and the powerful AI required to make that data actionable are giving rise to a hybrid ecosystem in which cloud, on-prem and edge processes become interweaved. Attendees will learn how emerging composable infrastructure solutions deliver the adaptive architecture needed to manage this new data reality. Machine learning algorithms can better anticipate data storms and automate resources to support surges, including fully scalable GPU-centric compute for the most data-intensive applications. Hyperconverged systems already in place can be revitalized with vendor-agnostic, PCIe-deployed, disaggregated approach to composable, maximizing the value of previous investments.
Adding public cloud resources to an existing application can be a daunting process. The tools that you currently use to manage the software and hardware outside the cloud aren’t always the best tools to efficiently grow into the cloud. All of the major configuration management tools have cloud orchestration plugins that can be leveraged, but there are also cloud-native tools that can dramatically improve the efficiency of managing your application lifecycle. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, Alex Lovell-Troy, Director of Solutions Engineering at Pythian, presented a roadmap that can be leveraged by any organization to plan, analyze, evaluate, and execute on moving from configuration management tools to cloud orchestration tools. He also addressed the three major cloud vendors as well as some tools that will work with any cloud.
When applications are hosted on servers, they produce immense quantities of logging data. Quality engineers should verify that apps are producing log data that is existent, correct, consumable, and complete. Otherwise, apps in production are not easily monitored, have issues that are difficult to detect, and cannot be corrected quickly. Tom Chavez presents the four steps that quality engineers should include in every test plan for apps that produce log output or other machine data. Learn the steps so your team's apps not only function but also can be monitored and understood from their machine data when running in production.
Using new techniques of information modeling, indexing, and processing, new cloud-based systems can support cloud-based workloads previously not possible for high-throughput insurance, banking, and case-based applications. In his session at 18th Cloud Expo, John Newton, CTO, Founder and Chairman of Alfresco, described how to scale cloud-based content management repositories to store, manage, and retrieve billions of documents and related information with fast and linear scalability. He addressed the challenges of scaling document repositories to this level; architectural approaches for coordinating data; search and storage technologies, Solr, and Amazon storage and database technologies; the breadth of use cases that modern content systems need to support; how to support user applications that require subsecond response times.
