Siano and Audiovox Combine to Launch In-Car Live Mobile Digital TV System

Siano, the world’s leading supplier of mobile broadcast DTV solutions, will be showcasing their in-car Mobile DTV tuner at the Audiovox Electronics booth at CES 2013, January 8-11, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The innovative system delivers Live Mobile TV content to in-car, rear-seat entertainment systems. Co-developed by Siano and Audiovox, the system uses Siano’s ATSC-MH receiver chip and an advanced software player. The product will be branded Audiovox and sold via Audiovox's distribution channels, including 12-volt retailers and expeditors who service new car dealers in addition to their OE customers.

Audiovox has been a leader in mobile video and rear-seat entertainment since its inception, providing consumers with a wide variety of systems and content options. The new Audiovox Mobile DTV system will allow content-rich programming that includes local live news, sports, and entertainment.

The collaboration between Audiovox and Siano marks the commitment and dedication of both companies to bringing a true, live “on-the-go” TV experience to U.S. consumers in their vehicles. The system connects directly to any rear-seat entertainment system that supports RCA audio and video inputs. For select Audiovox and Advent branded mobile video products, a proprietary single cable connection has been built into the tuner to streamline installation and the user experience. Both Bluetooth and Infrared Remote Control are supported for maximum flexibility and safety while driving. The system includes a rear-window mountable TV antenna, is FCC, WiFi and Bluetooth certified, and compatible with all NTSC-compliant screens in the market.

“Siano is proud to partner with Audiovox in providing this attractive car-TV product,” said Alon Ironi, CEO of Siano. “We see a growing worldwide demand for automotive TV, and it’s an opportune time to have a product in the U.S. as well. Siano’s mobile DTV technology gains in recent years, coupled with Audiovox’s vast market know-how, should give this product an edge in the industry. Simply put, the result speaks for itself…and you’ll see it in the product demo.”

Audiovox President, Tom Malone, commented, “We are very enthusiastic about the launch of this product and Audiovox is confident that we are branding a quality system that will meet and exceed mobile DTV consumers’ needs.”

The product will be demonstrated to selected customers and partners at CES 2013, Las Vegas, NV, January 8-11, 2013

CloudEXPO Stories
As you know, enterprise IT conversation over the past year have often centered upon the open-source Kubernetes container orchestration system. In fact, Kubernetes has emerged as the key technology -- and even primary platform -- of cloud migrations for a wide variety of organizations. Kubernetes is critical to forward-looking enterprises that continue to push their IT infrastructures toward maximum functionality, scalability, and flexibility.
This month @nodexl announced that ServerlessSUMMIT & DevOpsSUMMIT own the world's top three most influential Kubernetes domains which are more influential than LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Medium, Infoworld and Microsoft combined. NodeXL is a template for Microsoft® Excel® (2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016) on Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10) that lets you enter a network edge list into a workbook, click a button, see a network graph, and get a detailed summary report, all in the familiar environment of the Excel® spreadsheet application. A collection of network maps and reports created with NodeXL can be seen in the NodeXL Graph Gallery, an archive of data sets uploaded by the NodeXL user community.
Because Linkerd is a transparent proxy that runs alongside your application, there are no code changes required. It even comes with Prometheus to store the metrics for you and pre-built Grafana dashboards to show exactly what is important for your services - success rate, latency, and throughput. In this session, we'll explain what Linkerd provides for you, demo the installation of Linkerd on Kubernetes and debug a real world problem. We will also dig into what functionality you can build on top of the tools provided by Linkerd such as alerting and autoscaling.
At CloudEXPO Silicon Valley, June 24-26, 2019, Digital Transformation (DX) is a major focus with expanded DevOpsSUMMIT and FinTechEXPO programs within the DXWorldEXPO agenda. Successful transformation requires a laser focus on being data-driven and on using all the tools available that enable transformation if they plan to survive over the long term. A total of 88% of Fortune 500 companies from a generation ago are now out of business. Only 12% still survive. Similar percentages are found throughout enterprises of all sizes.
Technology has changed tremendously in the last 20 years. From onion architectures to APIs to microservices to cloud and containers, the technology artifacts shipped by teams has changed. And that's not all - roles have changed too. Functional silos have been replaced by cross-functional teams, the skill sets people need to have has been redefined and the tools and approaches for how software is developed and delivered has transformed. When we move from highly defined rigid roles and systems to more fluid ones, we gain agility at the cost of control. But where do we want to keep control? How do we take advantage of all these new changes without losing the ability to efficiently develop and ship great software? And how should program and project managers adapt?
