Calorie Count Launches Premium Food Logger and Motivates Users to Get Healthy with New Year's Sweepstakes

NEW YORK, Jan. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Calorie Count (www.caloriecount.com), a free award-winning health and wellness Web site with 5 million members, launched its latest product in a growing lineup of healthy-living tools – a premium food logger, starting at $4.99/month. The logger, created to quickly find and add multiple foods with just one click, will also let subscribers add photos, captions and take notes on their meals. Starting at $9.99/month, subscribers will also have the ability to remove advertisements to easily speed up their user experience.

To help motivate users to live healthier lives in 2013, Calorie Count also kicked off its New Year, New You sweepstakes that will award five $450 gift cards at random to those that enter the contest here. In addition, winners will receive one free month of both Calorie Count's new Premium Food Logger and its existing Premium Services.

Earlier in 2012, Calorie Count launched its first Premium Service, which enables subscribers to more effectively reach their nutritional goals through expert personalized nutrition advice and support from independent registered dietitians. These registered dietitians review the user's eating behaviors and food logging and offer personalized, ongoing nutritional guidance based on the user's specific needs.

Calorie Count's Premium Service bridges the gap between valuable free, automated services like those Calorie Count continues to offer and well-known but expensive diet plans. At $14.99 per month, the Premium Service is designed to enable more online users to have affordable access to expert nutrition advice and support.

"We know that losing weight and getting into shape is one of the most popular New Year's resolutions as well as one of the hardest to maintain," said Igor Lebovic, co-founder, Calorie Count. "Our goal is to add an extra layer of motivation, so that users can actually achieve their goals and stay healthy throughout the entire year."

One of the cloud’s biggest draws is the capability to virtualize computing resources, allowing it to be consumed with the click of a mouse. But behind that simple click is an enormous infrastructure challenge that has recently been cited as a major cause for slower enterprise adoption. Enterprises can better prepare for this shift and take full advantage of future computing benefits. Between architecture design and migration planning, the road can be long, so what do you do with your talent? I...
