Unpakt To Launch Multi-City Media Campaign

First-Ever Instant Price Comparison Site for the Moving Industry Launches Campaign in New York, San Francisco and Boston, with Plans to Target New Markets as Unpakt Expands Nationwide

NEW YORK, Dec. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Unpakt (www.unpakt.com), an instant pricing application helping customers find moving companies and book their moves online, today commenced a multi-channel marketing campaign in New York, San Francisco and Boston. Introducing its services to these markets through a series of television commercials and digital ads, the newly launched Unpakt is creating transparency within the moving industry, offering a platform for consumers to more easily navigate the process of finding a moving company, while also allowing local moving companies to grow their business.  The campaign is scheduled to move into additional cities next month as Unpakt expands into new markets, both nationally and internationally.

Unpakt provides an innovative way for consumers and businesses to make educated and informed decisions about their move. The website application provides a tool for consumers to find reputable movers and review customized exact prices instantly rather than waiting days for uncertain estimates and quotes. Additional services include the ability to hire movers to pack or unpack one's possessions, request custom packing containers for technology and fine art or to invite a moving professional to visit before a move for a consultation and in-person inventory of furniture and belongings.

Bringing transparency to an industry that, until now, has been known for its uncertainty, Unpakt is revolutionizing the moving industry. The website helps ensure an excellent moving experience through a screening process that only admits reputable moving companies.  Additionally, Unpakt aggregates customer reviews and provides in-depth consumer research to help customers make decisions.  In essence, Unpakt is the most comprehensive and honest referral platform for moving companies.

Created by entrepreneur Sharone Ben-Harosh, the founder of FlatRate Moving, the Unpakt business model also offers a means of creating business for Unpakt's moving company partners. Local moving companies partnered with Unpakt have greater exposure to a wide audience and are better able to service their customers' needs through increased visibility and user feedback.

Having launched in major cities across the country, Unpakt's advertising campaign is expected to increase business and promote awareness among consumers to ultimately drive business to Unpakt's moving partners in New York, San Francisco and Boston. Within the next 18 months, Unpakt plans to have 5,000 movers in 125 U.S. cities as well as have launched in many international markets.

"We're excited to be able to offer Unpakt in so many great cities so quickly," said founder Sharone Ben-Harosh. "We look forward to rapid expansion and the ability to provide new customers with a better moving experience."

Unpakt's advertising campaign launches in conjunction with the unveiling of a newly redesigned website. Unpakt first launched in July 2012 in New York City. It quickly expanded to include many cities on both coasts and has been constantly adding new features to its application. The new website design is a result of extensive research and user testing, meant to improve the user experience and highlight new advanced features.

ABOUT UNPAKT
The ability to review a client's household inventory and quantify the move is an integral part of the Unpakt experience.  The formula for calculating the service was perfected over time by Sharone Ben-Harosh, beginning with FlatRate Moving®, founded in 1991.  By aggregating movers onto the Unpakt platform, Ben-Harosh and his team are steadily shifting the industry away from the unreliable hourly-rate model and replacing it with fixed rates and exact moving pricing that cannot change unless a client changes their inventory. www.unpakt.com

If zettabytes of data exist, why is less than 1% of the world’s data being analyzed today? Seasoned entrepreneur and startup CEO Radhika Subramanian believes that the inability to analyze and gain value from Big Data is that organizations are taking a services-centered approach. As the title of the session implies, Subramanian believes that the data needs to do the talking, not armies of analysts searching and querying databases. Her company has developed high-speed, advanced algorithms to autom...

A recent study by analyst firm IDC reports that in 2012, 1.7 million cloud computing-related roles across the globe could not be filled due to the lack of training, certification and experience in the applicant pool.
