Fonality Web Client Secures ‘Product of the Year’ Award from INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine

Fonality, the only provider of business phone and contact center solutions dedicated to serving small and mid-sized businesses in the cloud or on-premise, announced today that its Fonality Web Client has been named a recipient of the 2012 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award. Fonality Web Client is an advanced business communication tool that transforms the user experience into a personalized social community, focused specifically on delivering Unified Communications and Voice services for small and mid-sized businesses.

“This award reflects the pride we take in delivering business phone solutions that solve challenges for small and mid-sized businesses (SMB),” said David Scult, CEO of Fonality. “Fonality Web Client is one of our most exciting innovations. The technology is extremely intuitive and creates significant opportunities for increased productivity beyond any existing business telephone communications tool, with an agile environment that allows for API integration with third-party SMB tools like CRM and other business focused applications.”

Specifically designed for SMBs, Fonality Web Client is a SaaS communication application and offered with Fonality’s hosted or hybrid voice deployments. It operates as a community dashboard, allowing users to manage their workflow and categorize information based on people, work groups or even conversations via chat. It incorporates the features and functionality of the award winning Fonality Heads Up Display (HUD) including a complete set of call-handling and contact center features, yet takes the user experience to an entirely new level of purposeful interaction. Features include:

  • Personalization of the dashboard tailored to workflow needs
  • Desktop screen share, file sharing and voicemail transcription
  • API integration including CRM and social networks
  • Ease of access to feature upgrades, no more long software downloads for upgrades

“It is with pleasure that we recognize Fonality with a Product of the Year Award. “Trust is an ongoing journey and sits at the foundation of any vendor relationship – the companies that don’t consistently earn trust won’t be around long,” noted Henrik Rosendahl, Senior VP of Cloud Solutions at Quantum, in this exclusive Q&A with Cloud Expo Conference Chair Jeremy Geelan. “As they do more with cloud, trust will organically grow – maybe it’s just about meeting SLAs or seeing firsthand that data is there when you need it,” Rosendahl continued. If zettabytes of data exist, why is less than 1% of the world’s data being analyzed today? Seasoned entrepreneur and startup CEO Radhika Subramanian believes that the inability to analyze and gain value from Big Data is that organizations are taking a services-centered approach. As the title of the session implies, Subramanian believes that the data needs to do the talking, not armies of analysts searching and querying databases.
