Cloudant Appoints Perry Stoll as Vice President of Engineering and Operations

Former Akamai Technologies executive to expand engineering and operations teams for cloud database service

BOSTON, Dec. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cloudant today announced the appointment of industry veteran Perry Stoll as vice president of engineering and operations. With more than 15 years of experience in the technology industry, Stoll will be responsible for expanding Cloudant's product engineering and system operations teams, and for managing the company's product delivery timeline.

Before joining Cloudant, Stoll was with Akamai Technologies for more than 13 years. Most recently, he served as the senior director of engineering and data strategy for the company's Advertising Decision Solutions (ADS) group. In this role, he was responsible for growing the engineering, analytics, and operational teams working on Akamai's online advertising business. Prior, he held important positions on the company's professional services, product management, and marketing teams. Previously, Stoll was a principal software architect for ScanSoft, Inc., a Xerox company, which was acquired by Nuance Communications. He is a graduate of Brown University where he earned M.S. and B.S. degrees in electrical engineering.
