New Enterasys IdentiFi Wireless Products and Channel Programs Accelerate Growth

Enterasys Channel Set to Deliver in High-Density Wi-Fi Environments with New IdentiFi Wireless

ANDOVER, Mass., Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications Company, today announced as part of the new IdentiFi™  WLAN solution, enhanced partner programs which provide new growth opportunities for its channel to expand on an already strong WLAN business.

As the fastest growing networking vendor in the industry and leading provider of wireless networking solutions, Enterasys is committed to solving today's enterprise Wi-Fi challenges. As proof of opportunity to the channel, Dell'Oro (report: "WLAN Quarterly Report 2Q12") shows that Enterasys is the fastest growing Wi-Fi vendor in the category of providers who offer an integrated wired/wireless solution – achieving  36% year-over-year growth, outpacing both Cisco and Aruba.  While Enterasys partners have fueled this growth through their significant success with Enterasys WLAN solutions, IdentiFi provides further opportunity for partners to differentiate and win with Enterasys.  Enterasys is focused on supporting the success of the channel in wireless network sales with the creation several new programs, including:

  • Enhanced sales incentive program that provides additional opportunity through up to 300% higher potential payout on new sales
  • New partner reward program that provides benefits through a mix of back end rebates (BER) and marketing development funds (MDF) to all partners and distributors
  • New FREE focused wireless technical and sales training courses
  • Expanded training formats, including computer based training (CBT) and virtual classroom options
  • Doubled investment in co-marketing and demand generation through new WLAN marketing programs and additional personnel

"Wireless is an extremely important part of our business. With Enterasys IdentiFi, we feel confident that we're delivering a solution from a vendor with the Wi-Fi experience to ensure a successful deployment the first time and provide customers with a great wireless experience," said Dan Garrett, owner of Advanced Technical Solutions. "We've seen huge success selling Enterasys wireless into our key markets of Education and Manufacturing, which has helped us grow our business over the past year."

Part of the OneFabric Edge architecture, the IdentiFi wireless solution is purpose-built to solve today's BYOD and high density challenges, address performance demands, and the need to provide predictable cost models. While other vendor solutions simply cannot deliver the performance in these environments, Enterasys delivers wired-like performance ensuring an exceptional quality of experience for mobile and BYOD users, and centralized management across both wired and wireless networks.

Enterasys IdentiFi is a new Wi-Fi solution encompassing access points, controllers and management software. IdentiFi addresses all critical industry requirements, including scalability, visibility, security, and application performance. IdentiFi provides an exceptional user experience in what is rapidly becoming the new normal – "hyper-dense" Wi-Fi environment. Furthermore, Enterasys delivers wired-like performance ensuring an exceptional quality of experience for mobile and BYOD users, and centralized management across both wired and wireless networks.

"Enterasys partners have helped fuel our industry leading growth in the wireless market. To improve support of our partners and accelerate mutual growth, we are further investing in new programs and incentives," said Charlie Van Pelt, Director of NA Channels with Enterasys. "These initiatives further validate our strategy and commitment as a channel focused and friendly company."

"We are excited about the introduction of IdentiFi. Ideal Integrations has experienced tremendous success implementing Enterasys wireless solutions. Most notably, we have seen substantial growth in our education and healthcare customer base," according to Michael Stratos, President and CEO of Ideal Integrations. "The IdentiFi portfolio provides us a differentiated value proposition to bring to our customers and solve their wireless networking challenges. Enterasys has demonstrated experience and growth in this technology and we look forward to continuing to be a part of that."
