Illinois Technology Association Leverages the Latest Technology to Deliver Enhanced Experience to Users on All Mobile Devices

CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 11/28/12 -- The Illinois Technology Association [ITA] is thrilled to announce the launch of the ITA mobile site, developed in partnership with Fig1 Brand Studio.

"The ITA mobile site is a fantastic tool that allows subscribers to stay abreast of exciting industry events and news, anytime, anyplace," said ITA President and CEO Fred Hoch. "Fig1 Brand Studio has developed innovative platforms for clients to deliver vastly improved user experience. The ITA is proud to have had the opportunity to work with them on this project."

Featuring up-to-date information on events, news, and event registration, the ITA Mobile Site meets consumers at the time and place of their choosing, in response to continued demand.

According to eMarketer, the numbers of smartphone users worldwide will more than double from 946 million in 2012 to 2.21 billion in 2016. The tablet market is predicted to grow even faster, with global sales predictions nearly tripling from 118.9 million to 369.3 million units sold between 2012 and 2016. Meeting consumers on the devices of their choice using a single technology tool greatly improves company return on investment.

"Partnering with ITA on this project was an awesome opportunity," said Jim Figliulo, Chief Executive Officer, Fig1 Brand Studio. "We want everyone to be able to enjoy ITA's offerings on the go with quick and easy access to their information. The frontend is built responsively for the screen sizes of every mobile handset and behaves like a native application. You're getting pitched every day from your legacy enterprise software and hardware vendors about "cloud." They're doing an amazing job of convincing your CIO and CTO about what cloud is and how you should use it. The reality is they're defending their shrinking market share and keeping you on the legacy treadmill for as long as they can by selling you solutions that aren't "cloud." In her session at the 12th International Cloud Expo, Niki Acosta, Cloud Evangelista for Rackspace, will talk thro...
The rise of cloud computing has exposed hard drive-based storage as the new data center bottleneck. However, due to budget constraints, many have turned to consumer-grade SSDs without understanding that they wear out quickly when processing enterprise workloads. In this session, Esther Spanjer will discuss recent endurance advancements in SSD technology that enable usage of...
