AJAX Site MatchActivity.com Launched

New Web 2.0 Site Changes How People Connect Online and Meet Offline

MatchActivity headquartered in Los Angeles, has announced the launching of a new interactive social activities site. The site combines activity postings by members, with online auction time deadlines (www.matchactivity.com). MatchActivity founder, Yoni Avital, created the concept of the site with the idea that activities speak louder than words, and instead of reading profiles about what people say they are, people post activities of what they would like to do.

MatchActivity serves as a unique invitational tool to help people get out and meet in person rather than spending time browsing through profiles on internet sites and sending winks.

MatchActivity lets its members immediately plan an activity, set the time and place and find likeminded people with similar interests. The activities that members post are time sensitive and create the feel of an auction deadline. With specific activity postings, members can find others who share the same interests allowing the activity itself to serve as a great icebreaker. A MatchActivity member can post an activity such as karaoke, salsa dancing, hiking, a game of pool, etc., to the site allowing others to know they are interested in that same activity. As the date approaches, the member then chooses from the responders who they would like to meet and have join them.

Founder and President Yoni Avital, believes that focusing on activities allows members to easily convert virtual flirting into actual meetings. "My best dates happened when we weren't interviewing one another, but just having fun. MatchActivity enables people to meet, by doing something they both enjoy," said Avital.

Using the latest Web 2.0 technology, MatchActivity guarantees users a friendlier web experience. The site uses innovative functionalities such as AJAX, which allows members to send messages without losing the screen. "Everything about the site is meant to be practical," Avital explains. "From our technology to our methodology, we simply want to create the most effective means for people to meet in the real world."

Modern software design has fundamentally changed how we manage applications, causing many to turn to containers as the new virtual machine for resource management. As container adoption grows beyond stateless applications to stateful workloads, the need for persistent storage is foundational - something customers routinely cite as a top pain point. In his session at @DevOpsSummit at 21st Cloud Expo, Bill Borsari, Head of Systems Engineering at Datera, explored how organizations can reap the benefits of the cloud without losing performance as containers become the new paradigm.

The current age of digital transformation means that IT organizations must adapt their toolset to cover all digital experiences, beyond just the end users’. Today’s businesses can no longer focus solely on the digital interactions they manage with employees or customers; they must now contend with non-traditional factors. Whether it's the power of brand to make or break a company, the need to monitor across all locations 24/7, or the ability to proactively resolve issues, companies must adapt to the new world.
