Infor Listed as Champion, Trend Setter and Best Overall Value in 2012 Info-Tech Vendor Landscape Report

Cloud, Mobile and Social Monitoring Capabilities Contribute to Frontrunner Status

NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 11/16/12 -- Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced that Infor Hospitality has been listed as a Champion, Trend Setter and Best Overall Value in this year's Info-Tech Vendor Landscape. The Info-Tech Research Group Vendor Landscape reports evaluate the strengths and abilities of products and vendors in a particular IT market space, and identify the outstanding vendors in that marketplace based on the strength of their offering and their strategy for the enterprise. By reporting these findings, Info-Tech Research Group Vendor Landscapes recognize the contribution of exceptional vendors in a particular market category.

Product evaluation scores were based on application features, usability, affordability and architecture. Scores for vendor evaluations focused on viability, strategy, reach and channel strategy. Champions receive high scores for most evaluation criteria and offer excellent value. Trend Setter Awards are presented to those solutions that are deemed to include the most original/inventive product/service, or the most original/inventive feature/capability of a product/service. Finally, the Best Overall Value Awards are presented to those solutions that are ranked highest on the Info-Tech Value Index.

"Infor's HMS earned its champion title by combining its large company resources for support and service with its well architected and heavily developed PMS solution," said Victoria Moore, research analyst, Info-Tech Research Group. "Infor's HMS application earned the Trend Setter Award because they have made strides in social media and mobile that are still far out on the roadmap for other vendors. Pulling from social media sites like Twitter and TripAdvisor, it can provide analytics on what your guests are asking for."

Infor Hospitality connects hospitality-specific strategy and plans to front and back-office systems so organizations have the tools to make better decisions and maximize revenue opportunities. In addition, customers can benefit from the functionality, financial and scalability advantages offered through the cloud, including reduced IT infrastructure costs and greater flexibility to expand or upgrade as the business changes.

"The hospitality industry is always evolving, so we continue to innovate our offerings to stay ahead of the curve and provide our customers with the most up-to-date technology available on the market to support their specific needs, and the needs of their customers -- like our HMS iPad application and cloud-enabled solutions," said Stewart Applbaum, SVP and general manager, Hospitality, Infor. "To be ranked three times by Info-Tech further validates our leadership position in the industry and our promise to our customers that we are constantly seeking to provide them with the knowledge and flexibility they need to succeed."
