harmon.ie To Showcase New Offerings with Office 2013 and SharePoint 2013 Running on Windows 8 and the iPad at Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2012

harmon.ie is building on the newly released capabilities in the SharePoint 2013 platform to create the first social collaboration solution on Windows® 8 and on the iPad for typical business users. harmon.ie Connect now supports Microsoft® Office 2013 and SharePoint 2013, so business users can now access SharePoint from Windows 8 devices through Microsoft® Outlook, from iOS devices and from Outlook 2013 Web apps. harmon.ie’s suite of connected apps affords business users, for the first time, a consistent and convenient collaboration experience from any workstation, mobile device or kiosk.

harmon.ie will be demonstrating its solutions at the SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas, November 12 – 15, Booth #1029. harmon.ie CEO Yaacov Cohen will be holding a Luncheon Summit to share his thoughts on the “Workplace of Tomorrow,” and harmon.ie’s product roadmap. Register here if you would like to attend.

Microsoft has invested heavily in the user experience and adoption elements of SharePoint 2013. New features include the ability to follow a document, get offline document support through SkyDrivePro, provide ad hoc document sharing, and enhanced social features like microblogging and communities. harmon.ie leverages these new platform capabilities to create business solutions and bring the new capabilities to the places where people spend their work time, Outlook and mobile devices.

“We are pleased to be able to provide business solutions on top of the new platform capabilities that Microsoft continues to bring to market,” said David Lavenda, vice president of product strategy and marketing. “Companies need the business flexibility that harmon.ie offers in order to take advantage of the SharePoint social capabilities. Making SharePoint easily accessible to typical business users through Outlook, the iPad and Office Web apps turns SharePoint into practical business solutions for managing knowledge, projects and records.”

“As workers rely on multiple platforms to get their work done, it is imperative for organizations to provide business flexibility,” said Yaacov Cohen, co-founder and CEO of harmon.ie. “Companies must be accommodating and able to provide the most appropriate solutions. And the ability to make these technologies available to users without them having to learn something new makes all the difference.”

One of the cloud’s biggest draws is the capability to virtualize computing resources, allowing it to be consumed with the click of a mouse. But behind that simple click is an enormous infrastructure challenge that has recently been cited as a major cause for slower enterprise adoption. Enterprises can better prepare for this shift and take full advantage of future computing benefits. Between architecture design and migration planning, the road can be long, so what do you do with your talent? I...
