Acer America has unveiled a new all-in-one (AIO) desktop, the Veriton Z2650G-UG645X featuring a 20-inch widescreen LED display and the convenience of the Windows 8 Pro and Windows 7 Professional operating systems for commercial customers. A sleek design, solid performance and smart management tools make the new Veriton Z2650G ideal for commercial environments where space and aesthetics are key considerations.

Developed to save space and provide a professional look to businesses and institutions, this all-in-one desktop is ideal for reception areas, call centers, hotel business centers, school libraries, news rooms and financial bullpens. Encased in a slim and elegant black chassis, the Veriton Z2650G enhances the décor of any work space and has adjustable legs to optimize viewing for maximum comfort. It also features a 20-inch widescreen LCD display with a 1600 x 900 resolution and 5ms response time to provide clear presentations, spreadsheets and images.

Smart Security and Management Tools
To protect valuable data, the Acer Veriton Z2650G has TPM 1.2 compliant hardware, which conforms to corporate-level security requirements. It also comes outfitted with Acer Proshield, a single client console application, which integrates key security and management features in a unified user interface. It has an encrypted hidden drive for confidential personal files, a file shredder to abolish sensitive content from the system, and a BIOS import and export tool that streamlines system management. In addition, Acer's One-Button Recovery (OBR) function makes it easy to back up and/or restore data. If the PC's operating system files are lost or damaged, the recovery process can restore the Veriton's original factory default settings or to the last system backup.

Wake-on-LAN supports enables IT professionals to turn the systems on and off remotely, while the Veriton ControlCenter, a user-friendly utility suite features:

  • Acer Client Manager to deploy software and control users' systems remotely
  • Acer eSettings Management to track and store users' software preferences
  • QuickMigration to quickly update and transfer personal data from one PC to another using a common network cable
  • SmartBoot to automatically load frequently used programs in the system tray at start-up

The systems provide solid performance with an Intel® Pentium® G645 processor (2.9GHz) and 4GB DDR3 SDRAM upgradeable to 8GB via two memory slots. A large 500GB(1) SATA hard drive provides plenty of room for storing digital data and a SuperMulti optical drive is offered for loading software and backing up valuable data.

There are two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports as well as a multi-in-one card reader for reading the vast array of media available today. Embedded high-definition audio creates high-quality sound for videoconferencing and webcasts. A built-in 1.0 MP HD webcam makes video calling convenient and fast Internet access is provided by Gigabit Ethernet and wireless 802.11 b/g/n WiFi. ENERGY STAR® 5.0 qualified, the Veriton Z2650G is power-efficient.

Practical Software
Handy applications for increasing productivity include Adobe® Reader®, Adobe® Flash® Player, Internet Explorer and McAfee® Internet Security Suite.
